Frequently Asked Questions
Have you got a construction project in the pipeline? Planning to make home improvements? Perhaps you’re a landscape gardener?
Either way, recycled aggregates, such as crushed brick, concrete, stone, gravel and stone, offer a cheaper and more sustainable alternative to virgin aggregates.
Whilst great for general bulk fills, recycled aggregates can also be used as a sub-base for drainage structures, pavements, patios and driveways.
To find out more about our crushed aggregates and their uses, be sure to get in touch with the team here at Grundy & Co.
Absolutely! Here at Grundy & Co, we supply aggregates to suit the needs (and budgets) of domestic and commercial customers alike.
Whilst most of these products are recycled from demolition and construction projects – so cost less to produce – we can assure you that they are of an exceptional standard and meet legal requirements. After all, we have invested heavily in our state-of-the-art sandwashing plant (£2M to be precise), which separates and removes impurities. This allows us to provide top-quality washed aggregates and sands.
If you’d like to know more about our recycled aggregates or you have a question regarding the products we supply, feel free to call us on 0151 257 8816.
The price you’ll pay for a bulk excavation can vary depending on the size of the excavation and the foundations that need to be laid.
As with most things, the larger the project and the more excavation work required, the higher the cost.
Another factor that impacts the cost of bulk excavations is the method used to remove the waste. For manual work, you’ll pay a lot less initially – on top of a grab lorry to remove the waste from your site. The more tonnes of soil you need to get rid of, the cheaper it works out per tonne – but you will need a bigger budget in the first place.
To discuss your bulk excavation requirements in more detail with our specialists and get an accurate figure, call 0151 257 8816, email sales@grundyandco.com or fill out our online enquiry form.
When undergoing any sort of construction work, you must know what you’re doing to ensure optimal efficiency and safety. You also need to make sure that you have a skilled team to operate the equipment and machinery required for the site clearance.
Here at Grundy & Co, we will assess the site conditions before we commence site clearance work. This includes outlining the potential risks and taking the necessary steps to mitigate them, inspecting the existing ground conditions and identifying the most efficient and effective way to clear the site.
On top of this, our team will take into account waste disposal beforehand, to ensure that debris and rubble are removed from your site as quickly as possible and not left to pile up. We’ll also make sure that waste from your project is disposed of sustainably, having minimal impact on the environment.
